Description

Current Status: In the Autumn of 2006, Bob D summoned his band mates back to the rust belt. The three discussed their life experiences and wrote six of the seven songs that would later become the "Boon" CD. The new music exudes a more grizzled and mature Fuzztub, without holding anything back or softening their sound. Fuzztub was reborn and was better than ever.

Sound description: Like a chocolate covered howitzer shoved right up your arse -- huge, cold, creamy-sweet, and very painful.

History

It was the year 1993 -- grunge was king and all of the guys in rock bands started cutting their hair. (remember Helmet?) Three young, wide-eyed hard rockers from the small steel mill town of Struthers, Ohio got together, and after a few band name variations, they became known as Fuzztub. The mid 90's were good to Fuzztub. Two of their songs were featured on a regional compilation CD and they released the wildly popular, four-song "Cake" EP (fans still request copies of the "Cake" EP to this day). They played all over the Mid-Western Unites States; Fuzztub performed with the likes of Clutch, Unsane, Souls at Zero, and Karma to Burn (to name a few); and Fuzztub even became a featured act at the 1994 New Music Seminar in New York City.
In 1997, after four years of blaring out searing-hot hard rock riffs, in front of thousands and thousands of people; being exposed to the corrupt and dishonorable (if not down-right criminal) element within the music industry; and being ripped-off by one too many show promoters, the band called it quits and moved on to new phases in their lives.
