History

Birdbrain was formed in the summer of 2007 by Nick (Consilience/Arsenic/Sleeping Sheep) and Katie (To the Deaf Culture). We had been playing together for a while and felt the need to cut loose and really start to experiment musically. Add Nate (To the Deaf Culture) on top and he's like the icing on the cake or on the bottom and he's some gooey hot fudge sauce.

Having influences ranging from jazz to folk to classical to metal, we began to incorporate anything and everything we felt like without worrying about what 'style' we play or having 'pop sensibilities'. We have set out to be unique yet appeal to a diverse audience. We are committed to our art and stress being true to it. Check us out live and see what people are going to be talking about. We are also committed to networking with local bands and fans in order to help build a better, stronger, and more diverse local music scene within Kent and Youngstown.
