History
(From http://www.myspace.com/thebarfliesmusic)
The Barflies were formed in 1992 by Jerry Camerlengo, Tommy Giardina, Anthony "Bubba" Richards, Gary Jones, and Paul Sheehan in Masury, Ohio. The band has gone through many changes over the years. Former members include: Mike Cummings (Five Deep), Frank Fanni, Kevin Rakocci, John Multari, Joe Albanese (Sonic Age) and Larry Lisi (Five Deep). The one thing that has remained constant is the level of musicianship and the bands ability to pack the dance floor with a perfect mix of 80's, 90's and current Rock-n-Roll. The latest Barflies incarnation may be the best yet! Paul Sheehan (vocals/guitar), and Jerry Camerlengo (bass) return. Paul and Jerry were formerly members of Youngstown's Hard Luck in the mid to late 80's and Released the album Takin' On the Night on Scream Records in 1988. Prior to Hard Luck, Jerry played in Western Pa's Hostage. Paul played bass in the late 90's with Slack Jaw and currently plays bass in the Glam Rock band Dizzy Whore. He was the front man for Raggedy Anne in the early 90's in which he played with guitarist Rick Deak, who is now also a Barfly. Rick was formerly a member of Atlantic Record's Sin-0-Matic who released and toured behind a self-titled cd in 2001. Also on guitar, the Barflies are happy to announce Hermitage PA's own Ron Marks. Ron is a former member of the now legendary Swiss band Celtic Frost. He was lead guitarist during their Into The Pandemonium (One in their Pride) tours and later helped compose and record CF's Vanity/Nemesis release. Ron is the founder of his current original project Subsonic, which is signed to Sonic Wave Int'l from Chicago. Subsonic has realized four releases (Super-Vel, No Such Soul, Blood Groove and I Could Be Anybody) to date. Last, but not least, is Jerry's son Jason Camerlengo on drums. Jason has literally been raised on rock-n-roll (he grew up in the house the band has practiced in for 20+ years) and virtually came out of the womb with a pair of tiny drumsticks in his hands! He's a powerful rock drummer who has only just begun to impress his veteran band mates.
