8-week firearms class for women

Vienna

Fish and Game Club of Vienna, 1508 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, is offering a women’s firearms class, which starts May 14 and runs for eight weeks. Class time is 5:45 to 10 p.m. The class qualifies participants for a concealed-carry permit. Cost is $75.

Preregistration being taken for rifle seminar

North Jackson

The Youngstown Rifle & Pistol Club, 8920 Shaffer Road, is having a High Power Rifle Seminar on May 18 at 8 a.m. .

Some of the subjects that will be covered include safety, terminology, sight alignment and shooting positions.

Rifles and ammunition will be supplied (participants can bring their own rifles). Participants should bring a spotting scope or binoculars, a shooting mat or something to lie on and ear protection. Eye protection is recommended.

Cost is $30 for adults and $10 for juniors 18 and younger.
