After four years at #1, Bogey's is still going strong! But right on their heels is the biggest climber in the Top 40, moving up 12 places to #2, Magic Tree. Trumbull county newcomers, #3 Big D's and #4 Peter Allen Inn, are right behind. With all four competing in the 2018 Meat 16, there could be a big shake up.

Counting the closed restaurants, we have reviewed burgers from over 100 places that were recommended to us by you the readers. We do want to emphasize that most were really, very good. Even a lot of the burgers that didn't make the top 40 were very good. However, some of the burgers were truly amazing, and several were so close that we could have had many 2 and 3-way ties.
