CharBonays Wine unveils big plans fat WRPA meeting

Wednesday, May 15, 2019

WARREN — A wine-barrel room, Tuscan-themed walls in the main lounge, a gift shop with wine tasting, and a dining area with a view of the Mahoning River are among the elements expected to be in place within a few weeks to a month when CharBonays Wine On The River just west of Courthouse Square opens.

CharBonays also plans a 5,200-square-foot open-air patio next to the river and near enough to see and hear shows at the Downtown Amphitheater.

Members of the Western Reserve Port Authority saw the winery after its monthly meeting held there today.

Workers were in the middle of finishing inside work and will be working rapidly in the coming weeks to to complete outside the walls and patio elements, said Mark Marvin, owner of the building, which he acquired with help from the port authority.
