YOUNGSTOWN

The Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown was the setting at 2 p.m. July 28, 2018, for the wedding of Samantha Jones and Dominic Corso, which was officiated by the Rev. Michael J. Cariglio Jr.

The couple were honored afterward at a reception at The Lake Club in Poland.

The bride is a daughter of Sidney and Katheryn Jones of Boardman. Parents of the groom are Dominic Corso and Daisy Ocasio-Corso, also of Boardman.

The bride wore an ivory sleeveless, re-embroidered trumpet gown. It was designed with a sweetheart neckline, low scooped illusion lace back bodice with crystal buttons and a scalloped hemline featuring Alencon lace on tulle over satin with hand-beaded scalloped lace shoulder straps and draped beading. A chapel-length train accented with a cathedral-length veil completed her ensemble.

Kayla Thompson, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids, wearing cobalt dresses were, Amanda Larson; Ashley Whitford; Janine Iacobucci; Amy Untch; Rachel Mullenax; Maria Balsamo; Alyssa Erossy; and Daisy Corso, sister of the groom.

Dustin Corso, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Nelson Ocasio, Branden Lombardo and Frank Ocasio, cousins of the groom; Samuel Deskin; Michael Lesko; Logan Kirk; and Quinn and Liam Jones, the bride’s brothers.

Mrs. Corso graduated from Ohio State University with a master’s degree in middle-childhood education. She is a sixth-grade teacher at Worthington City Schools in Worthington.

Her husband graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in consumer sciences and financial services. He is a registered client associate at Merrill Lynch in Columbus and Canfield.

After a honeymoon in Greece, the couple reside in Columbus.
