The Mahoning-Shenango Kennel Club recently donated funds to three animal organizations. Since its inception, the club has strived to give back to the canine community whenever possible. The MSKC membership has donated time, materials, and money to local agencies, breed-specific rescue agencies and to victims of natural disasters throughout the country. Funds are donated monthly to local and regional animal charities. Annually, the club donates from funds raised at its dog show in August and raffles at the holiday party in December. This year, the three local organizations chosen to receive $700 are: Friends of Fido (for Mahoning County Dog Pound), Austintown Police Law Enforcement Trust Fund toward a K-9 officer and the Trumbull County Dog Warden.
