The 42nd annual Maple Syrup Festival and Boardman Rotary Pancake Breakfast will take place this weekend and next in Boardman Park. Hours are 8 a.m to 2 p.m. all four days – Saturday and Sunday, and March 30 and 31.
The festival includes a demonstration at Chester Long Pavilion, where guests can see a maple tree being tapped, and the sap collected and then boiled down to make syrup. There will also be scouting skills demonstrated by Boy Scout Troop 60 and wagon rides on park trails.
Events in the Lariccia Family Community Center will include the Western Reserve Woodcarvers demonstration, taxidermy, a basket raffle and student art show. Visitors can also purchase maple syrup.
