BOARDMAN

The Davis Family YMCA recently hosted its first “Speak Your Peace: Life From a Teen’s Perspective” art show. All area high-school students were invited to participate with art reflecting issues and angst that define their lives. A few of the pieces were offered for sale, and proceeds will benefit the artists. The award winners names, schools they attend, awards received and titles of their artwork are:

Leah Sydney, Valley Christian School, first technical, “Gazing into the Future”

Lilly Klisiewicz, Boardman, second technical, “Opposing Pearls”

Samantha Moore, Salem, second creative, “Perfect?”

Katie Dreher, Salem, third (tie) creative, “No Boundaries”
