TODAY

Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, will host a barbecue-to-go dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Cost is $14 and includes barbecued ribs, grilled chicken, french fries, baked beans, coleslaw, bread and butter and a brownie. Vegetarian dinners will be available for $12. Drive up under the Andrews Hall canopy.

Holy Family Church, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will host a takeout-only cavatelli dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The menu includes cavatelli with homemade sauce, meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter and cookies for $10. Smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball, $5; homemade pasta fagioli, $6 per quart; and fresh or frozen homemade sauce, $5 per quart. Place the order, remain in the car and your dinner will be delivered.

THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. Cost is $7. No need to pre-order or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church, and the meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $2. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will offer its next Second Saturday Supper from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The menu includes homemade haluski and kielbasa, applesauce, bread and butter, dessert and beverage. Cost is $12; $6 for children under 12. Takeouts will be available.

TUESDAY

First United Methodist Church of Columbiana, 210 S. Main St., will host a drive-through ham dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Cost is $8 and includes sliced ham, red parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce and a dessert. For information and to reserve dinners, call the church at 330-482-2382 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees are asked to use the drive-through entrance on Pittsburgh Street.

UPCOMING

Brookdale Austintown, 1420 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host a fish fry event from noon to 7 p.m. June 21. Cost is $10 and reservations must be made before June 14. Menu includes fish, macaroni and cheese, green beans, roll and dessert. For information or to make reservations, call 330-270-1448. Proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon June 15. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children age 4 to 11 and free for anyone under age 4. Extra sausage costs $1. This event is in conjunction with the Weathersfield Flag Festival.

Girard Aerie Eagles 2172, 26 W. Wilson Ave., will host a steak fry from 4 to 7 p.m. June 15. Cost is $15 per person and includes steak, baked potato, green beans, bread and butter, pie or cake and coffee. Attendees can cook their own steak or have a club member cook it for you. Preorders are preferred and can be made by calling Chrissy at 330-545-6619.

St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oakhill Ave., Youngstown, will host “A Taste of St. Patrick’s” from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 23 in the social hall. Delicacies prepared by local and renowned cooks will be showcased. Guests will have the opportunity to vote for the best food. Tickets for the event are $20 per person, $30 per couple, and a family discount for two adults and two children, $30. Tickets for additional family members are $2 for children under 12 and $10 for age 12 and up. Only 150 tickets will be sold. Admission includes tasting tickets, beverage and bread. The event will also include a basket raffle and a 50-50 raffle. Children up to age 12 will have the opportunity to enjoy the Kids Corner with their own food and a variety of activities at the Needle’s Eye located across the street from the church. Parents can bring children to the Needle’s Eye before they go to the social hall. Four mothers will be supervising the children as they participate in several activities, including a scavenger hunt.
