YOUNGSTOWN
The Junior League of the Mahoning Valley, formerly known as The Junior League of Youngstown, recently hosted its 87th annual dinner at the Youngstown Country Club. Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith French was the guest speaker and addressed the importance of women participating in community as well as in elected positions. Ann Dalton, executive director of the Association of Junior Leagues International, also spoke. Dalton commended the members on the organization’s transition moving forward and the renewed dedication to building a better community. Carolyn Korenic, provisional committee co-chairwoman, introduced new members of the league. They are: Rachilla Basista, Alison Cox, Betty Cmil, Cristina Davis-Henceroth, Allison Fortunato, Diane Hephner, Cathy Kristan, Carol Marino, Chaney Nezbeth, Yvonne Reese, Panzy Bozanich, Valerie Brickner and Evelyn Hall.
Theresa Dellick, League president, also recognized Elinor Zedaker, Marty Dragelevich, Phyllis Ricchiuti, Helen Paes, Marcelle Svenson, Bergen Giordani, Elizabeth Stevens and JoAnn Stock for their commitment to the League.
