Food sales and dinners through Aug. 31

THURSDAY

Lord of Life Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, will offer drive-through spaghetti dinners from 3 to 6 p.m. The menu includes spaghetti featuring the church’s meat sauce, tossed salad, roll and butter and dessert. Cost is $8 per dinner (cash only), and proceeds assist with ministry expenses. Pull up to the back door for service. Call the church office at 330-533-3531 with questions.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and coffee. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $2. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church, 7754 South Ave., Boardman, will host an ethnic food festival at 11 a.m.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, will host a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. An all-you-can-eat breakfast or brunch will be available for a donation. Menu includes eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will host a spaghetti dinner and reverse raffle at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and available at the church and at the door. Doors open at 5:30.

SUNDAY

Circle of Serbian Sisters of Holy Trinity Serbian Church, 39 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken paprikash dinner in conjunction with the Serbian Church picnic from 11:30 until sold out. Eat-in or takeout will be available. Price is $11 for adults, $6 for children 10 and younger. Meals will include chicken, dumplings, salad, dessert and coffee. For information, call 330-792-1005.

TUESDAY

Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will sponsor a free neighborhood community dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown.

TAKING ORDERS

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for apple and cherry strudel. Cost is $10 each. Call 330-550-6628 to order. Pickup will take place from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.

UPCOMING

Aut Mori Grotto will host a benefit Swiss steak dinner from noon to 4 p.m. (or until sold out) Aug. 11 at the Aut Mori Grotto Hall, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and younger. Menu includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetable, salad, rolls with butter, dessert, and coffee or non-alcoholic beverages. New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will host a pasta dinner fundraiser from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 3. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and younger. Youngstown American Hungarian Federation will sponsor a chicken paprikash dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 4 (Hungarian Day) at the Aut Mori Grotto Hall, 545 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Also available will be kielbasa sandwiches, cabbage and noodles, homemade pastries and refreshments. Dine in or takeout available.
