Orchid display at Fellows Gardens

YOUNGSTOWN

“Jewels of Winter,” a display of orchids will open Tuesday at Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave. on the West Side, and run until March 3.

This year’s display will showcase orchids interspersed among Mahoning Valley artifacts, paying homage to the region’s industrial roots.

Orchids are considered the crown jewels of the plant world, full of color and allure. Visitors can bring a camera to photograph the kaleidoscope of color they bring.

Fellows Riverside Gardens is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. For information, call 330.740.7116.

Nature photography exhibit at Weller Gallery

YOUNGSTOWN

A nature photography exhibition by local amateur photographers is now on display at Weller Gallery, located at Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave.

More than 200 entries are featured in this popular annual exhibit, including landscapes, wild animals, scenes from Mill Creek MetroParks, and more.

The free exhibition will be on display through March 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

A meet the photographers session will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the gallery.
