ACTORS

“The Spitfire Grill.” Mark Frost, director, Gary Kekel, musical director, Crown Theater Productions, Crown House (next to the theater), 5 N. Main St., Columbiana, 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 21. Performances April 5-7, 12-14. Come prepared to sing a song with sheet music or accompaniment CD, or music director will provide accompaniment.

“Godspell.” Sam Luptak Jr. and Marlene Strollo, directors, Ed Phillips, musical director, the Hopewell Theater, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, 6 p.m. Jan. 28. Come prepared with a musical piece with sheet music for accompanist. Chorus parts and one speaking role are still available. “Seussical the Musical Jr.” Salem Community Theater, 490 E. State St., Salem, 330-332-9688, 5:30 p.m. Jan. 20 and 21. Performances March 15 to 24. Be prepared to sing a one-minute selection of a song, with music on a phone or CD without voice, or sing a capella; no accompanist will be provided. You will also be asked to read from the script and perform in a short dance call. Cast members will be chosen from first to 12th grade.

“Macbeth,” “La Traviata,” “Don Pasquale” and “Romeo et Juliette.” Opera Western Reserve, Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, is holding auditions April 8 and 9 by appointment. The deadline to make appointments is March 25. An accompanist will be provided and is included in the $25 nonrefundable fee. Auditionees must have arias prepared in Italian, French and English.
