THURSDAY

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches also will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell pirogi Thursday from 8 a.m. until sold out. Call in orders to 330-755-1316 starting at 8 a.m. until sold out Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen. Pickup will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins not accepted.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield Niles Road, Austintown, will host Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The meal is free as a community outreach of the church. Donations accepted to continue the program.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and coffee. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will host a creamed chicken takeout only dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $2. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will be selling potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $7 a dozen. No containers are necessary. Walkins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Andrews Hall. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children age 6 and under. Menu includes regular and specialty pancakes, cheese hash browns, sausage, bacon, homemade muffins, fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk. A basket and 50-50 raffle also will take place. Proceeds benefit the Angel Wing expansion.

Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., Brookfield, will host an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Carry out will be available until 3:30 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children age 6 to 12; children 5 and younger eat for free. First Presbyterian Church of Girard will sell homemade potato and chicken noodle soup, homemade pepperoni rolls, fresh-baked bread and homemade sticky buns. The soup is $5 a quart and $3 a pint. The pepperoni rolls are $8 for the large and $2.50 for a single. Bread is $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 a for a small loaf and sticky buns are 4 for $2.50. Orders can be placed by calling 330-759-1460. Deadline for orders is today by 7 p.m. After that, items will be as available. Pick up will be between 3 and 4:30 p.m. at the church, 890 Churchill Road, Girard.

SUNDAY

First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will be the site for a meatballs and pasta dinner that will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The dinner is the annual spaghetti dinner by the Company Dancers from Ballet Western Reserve. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and may be purchased at BWR in advance or at the door. There also will be a basket auction and a 50-50 raffle. Proceeds benefit BWR and support programs and performances throughout the year. For information, call Ballet Western Reserve at 330-744-1934.

Fowler Fire Department will host its monthly pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, state Route 193. Cost is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for children. Preschool-age children eat for free.

Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., will host a benefit roast beef dinner from noon to 2 p.m., sponsored by the men’s organization. Menu includes roast beef, scalloped potatoes, tossed salad, applesauce, bread and ice cream. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available. Proceeds benefit NESFACE, the local food bank.

Pacentrano Club, 2629 Craiger Ave., is serving spaghetti dinners from noon to 4 p.m. every Sunday during football season. The dinners are $9 each for sit-down or takeout. For information or to place takeout orders, call 330-788-3393.

VFW 2799 Auxiliary will host a homestyle breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon at the post home, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield. Menu includes eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes, freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea. Cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a pasta dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Participants may dine in or carryout. Menu includes pasta, salad, bread and butter, beverage and dessert. Cost is $10 for adults, $7 for children age 6 to 12 and free for children under age 5. Proceeds will support the mission trip to Baton Rouge, La.

Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, will host a pork-kraut dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $9.50 for adults and $5 for children, which includes dessert, coffee, tea or pop. The public is welcome and takeouts are available.

UPCOMING

Aut Mori Grotto will host its monthly pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 26 at the Aut Mori Grotto Banquet Hall, 563 North Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes only, link sausage, eggs, potatoes, sausage gravy and biscuits, orange juice and coffee. Cost is $6 per person, $3 for children age 4 to 12 and free for children age 3 and younger. The Aut Mori Grotto is a member of the Grottoes of North America and is a nonprofit organization comprised of master Masons. The grottoes support local charities, Akron Children’s Hospital, Sojourners House, muscular dystrophy and dentistry for challenged children under 17. Celebrate Poland Festival committee will sponsor a “Breakfast, Baskets and More” event Jan. 26. The breakfast begins at 8 a.m. in Poland High School’s cafeteria and concludes at noon. Meals include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, pastries and drinks by donation. In addition to the opportunity to bid on many baskets, there will be a chance to win a 50-inch Smart TV. Six raffle tickets will be sold for $5 and may be purchased in advance from any committee member or by calling 330-651-2999. Tickets also may be purchased at the door. Winners need not be present. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. Jan. 26. The meal consists of eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., will host a pancake and sausage breakfast from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 27 in Maxwell Hall. Free-will donations are requested.

St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, will host an eat-in or carry out roast beef dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 10. Menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes, vegetables, soup, salad, and dessert. All tickets sold in advance at $15 for adults and $8 for children age 12 and younger. St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 U.S. state Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will host John’s Breakfast Brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 3. Menu includes french toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk or buckwheat pancakes, with choice of maple or peach syrup, scrambled eggs, eggs scrambled with peppers, onions and cheese, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juice and milk. St. John Orthodox Church, 2220 Reeves Road NE, Warren, will host a fish-fry dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 25. Cost is $11. Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will host Malanka, Ukrainian New Year’s celebration from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Jan. 26. Dinner will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and includes stuffed cabbage, baked chicken, kielbasa with sauerkraut, vegetables, halushki, salad and dessert.
