THURSDAY

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches also will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell pirogi Thursday from 8 a.m. until sold out. Call in orders to 330-755-1316 starting at 8 a.m. until sold out Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen. Pickup will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins not accepted.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will have a pirogi sale. The cost is $6 per dozen. Potato, cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi are available. Phone orders will be taken from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday. Call 330-542-3525 to order. Pick up will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield Niles Road, Austintown, will host Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The meal is free as a community outreach of the church. Donations accepted to continue the program.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will host a creamed chicken takeout only dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will host a dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Meals feature a choice of haddock, chicken or shrimp with fries, coleslaw and a roll for $10.50. Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, will offer beer-battered haddock or shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost for adults is $12 and $7 for children age 10 and under. Dinners include fresh-cut fries, coleslaw and green beans. An extra fillet (with dinner purchase) is $5 and shrimp a la carte (approximately 16 pieces) is $6. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 a dozen. No containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. John Orthodox Church, 2220 Reeves Road NE, Warren, will have a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu will include baked or fried cod or shrimp, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, dessert and drink for $11. Call ahead for take-out dinners at 330-372-3895.

SATURDAY

Austintown Band Parents will host its annual spaghetti dinner to raise funds to support the band program in the high school cafeteria, 4560 Falcon Drive, Austintown. Cupcakes and other dessert items also will be sold. The event will include a 50-50 raffle and basket auction. The freshman band will play at noon, the concert band will play at 12:30 p.m., Fitch Jazz 2 will play at 1 p.m., Fitch Jazz 1 will play at 1:30 p.m., the symphonic band will play at 2 p.m., the AIS fifth grade band will play at 3:30 p.m., the sixth grade band plays at 4:15 p.m., the jazz band will play at 5 p.m., the seventh grade band will play at 5:45 p.m., and the eighth grade band will close out the evening at 6:30 p.m. Cost of admission plus dinner is $8 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and students and free for children 4 and under. Aut Mori Grotto, 563 North Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will host its monthly pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon. Menu includes all-you-can eat pancakes (only), link sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee and juice. Cost is $6 per adult, $3 for children under 12 and children under 3 eat free. The Aut Mori Grotto is a nonprofit organization comprised of master masons that supports local charities such as Akron Children’s Hospital, Sojourner House and dental care for challenged children under 17 years of age. Menu consists of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, pancakes, juice, coffee and more. Breakfast is sponsored by the First Congregational Church of Wayne Women’s Missionary group. St. James the Apostle Parish, 4019 state Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will host John’s Breakfast Brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children. Menu includes French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple or strawberry syrup, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with peppers, onions and cheese, bacon, sausage, ham, home fries, toast, fresh cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk.

St. Angela Merici Parish hall, 397 S. Jackson St., Youngstown, will host a chili cook-off from 3 to 6 p.m. March 3. Cost to enter a chili is $10 and $5 per person to eat. Family discounts available. The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon is taking orders for homemade Easter bread. A 2-pound loaf plain or iced is $12. The deadline to order is April 12 with pickup April 17-19 until noon. Lenten fish dinners will be served on Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m. starting March 8 through April 12. The cost will be $12 for adults and $6 for children, which includes the choice of baked or fried fish or shrimp with haluski, homemade soup, coleslaw, bread and butter, dessert and beverage. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 38 Robbins Ave., Niles, is taking orders for its annual Ash Wednesday pizza sale. All products are made with homemade dough. St. Lucy Church Cultural Society is taking orders for pasta fagioli for the Lenten season. Cost is $6 per quart. Take your own container.
