Connor MacEachern’s goal 68 seconds into overtime lifted the Youngstown Phantoms to Friday’s 4-3 win over the Green Bay Gamblers in the Resch Center.
Joey Abate’s power-play goal late in the third period forced the bonus session. Abate’s goal was set up by Thomas Farrell and Jayson Dobay.
Matt DeMelis opened the game’ scoring with an unassisted power-play goal in the first period.
In the second period, Brett Murray tied the game with his 22nd goal. Dobay and Jack Malone assisted.
Chad Veltri made 25 saves for the win.
Tonight, the Phantoms will play the Chicago Steel at 8:05.
