CRICKETS AND KATYDIDS

What: Join Ohio State University Extension & Mill Creek MetroParks for the naturalist series. We’ll learn about the musicality of natures insects with Lisa Rainsong. Rainsong spends much of her time studying and teaching music theory, while also taking time to appreciate and learn from nature’s music.

URBAN GARDEN TOUR

When: Monday, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

What: Join OSU Extension staff and trained master gardener volunteers to learn more about growing practices, helpful tips, soils, organic production and more. Bring a lawn chair for seating and a notepad. Don’t forget your weeds, diseases and insects. We’ll diagnose what’s going on in your garden, too.

What: Join the master gardener volunteers of Trumbull County to learn more about native plants for your garden and the benefits for you and nature.

SUNSET AT THE PRESERVE

When: Friday, 8 to 9:30 a.m.

What: Join Naturalist Arika Preas to explore the newly extended trails at Mill Creek Preserve and end the hike with a beautiful sunset in this series of programs designed for women of all ages. Moderate, 2.5 miles

Lookin’ for Crayfish

When: Next Saturday, 1 to 3p.m.
