Elizabeth Rose Burr and Dr. Rafael David Rodriguez, both of Charleston, S.C., were united in marriage June 16 during a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Jay Starling, cousin of the bride, at The Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston. A reception took place in the Gold Room at the hotel.
Mrs. Rodriguez is a daughter of Randy and Carla Burr of Farmdale.
Julio and Josefina Rodriguez of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, are the parents of the groom.
Allison Hynes, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor, and Gabrielle Brajer was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Heather Hartman; Stephanie VanHeyst; Patricia Schewel, sister of the groom; and Julia Rodriguez, sister of the groom.
Luis Napoleon Rodriguez, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Pedro Hernandez, Ahmed Elmoghraby, Arturo Social and Jose Saint-Hilaire, were groomsmen.
The bride is a registered nurse at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where Dr. Rodriguez is a nephrology fellow.
The couple honeymooned in Denver and reside in Charleston.
