Grief Recovery and Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for 10 weeks,at the care center of the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home, North Main St., Hubbard. NAMI Mahoning Valley also offers Family Support Groups that provide information and support for family members and friends of individuals with mental illness. St. Joseph Church, Austintown, will offer DivorceCare, a 12-week course/discussion group for those who are going through or have gone through a separation or divorce. The program addresses through education and discussion the most common issues associated with divorce/separation and promotes powerful healing so that participants can move on to build a new life. The three components of DivorceCare are educational video presentations, supportive and safe group discussions facilitated by trained facilitators who have experienced divorce and resources for home use. DivorceCare will be offered for 12 consecutive Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 10. Participants need not be members of St. Joseph or any church to participate. Youngstown Area PFLAG (Parents, Families, Friends, and Allies) is a support, education and advocacy group United with LGBT People to move equality forward. Support meetings are the second Tuesday of each month. PFLAG provides the opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity and strives to create a society respectful of human diversity. Meetings are free and confidential.
