Naturalist Hike

When: Saturday, 1-2:30 p.m.

What: Enjoy an afternoon hike to the Lily Pond with Ohio certified volunteer naturalist Jim Thornton.

Where: Ford Nature Center, 840 Old Furnace Road, Youngstown.

Cost: Free

Garden Tea Party

When: Sunday, 2-4 p.m.

What: Join Holborn Herb Growers Guild for an afternoon tea featuring herbal teas with savory and sweet delicacies. Wear your hat, learn about succulents in the garden, get a souvenir tea cup, register for a door prize or get the latest edition of the Herbal Fare Cookbook.

Where: Western Reserve Village, Canfield Fairgrounds.

Cost: $15; free for kids 8 and younger.

Kokedama: The Hanging Garden

When: Tuesday, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

What: Create a kokedama, a form of Japanese garden art, with Pam Baytos.

Where: Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave., Youngstown

An Apple a Day

When: Next Thursday, 10-11 a.m.

What: Share an apple story, make an apple craft and have an apple snack.

Where: MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield.

Cost: $3 for Mahoning County residents, $4, NR. Cash Only.
