BOARDMAN

The Rev. Kevin Peters officiated at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 3 for the wedding of Emily Alcorn and Nathaniel Buttram, both of Arlington, Va.

The ceremony took place at St. Luke Church, and a reception followed at The Vineyards at Pine Lake in Columbiana.

The bride is a daughter of Patrick and Peggy Alcorn of Poland.

Richard and Christine Buttram of Osage, Mo., are the groom’s parents.

Matron of honor was Jayne DiMascio, and maid of honor was Anne Alcorn, both sisters of the bride. They wore merlot-colored gowns as did the bridesmaids, Taylor Dozier, Lauren Emrich and the groom’s sister, Rachel Buttram.

Cory Brune served as best man, and groomsmen were Tyler Beauchamp, Alex Nicholson, Josh Warren and the bride’s brother, Joseph Alcorn.

Mrs. Buttram graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in music and earned a master’s degree in music from the University of Illinois. She is a chorister and annual fund and events coordinator at the Washington National Opera and the Cathedral Choral Society in Washington, D.C.

Her husband received his bachelor’s degree in music from Truman State University and a master’s in music from the University of Illinois. He is a chorister at Washington National Cathedral and the Basilica of St. Mary in Washington.

The couple honeymooned at South Coast, Jamaica, and live in Arlington.
