CAMPBELL

Residents should prepare to see more road workers on the streets as the weather warms and the city’s budgeted construction projects begin.

Mayor Nick Phillips said the city would begin $500,000 worth of resurfacing projects before the fall, with bid openings this month.

The city will pay for $175,000 of the resurfacing costs from the general fund, with the rest coming from funds generated by the city’s resurfacing levy.

Carlton Drive, Oxford Street, Sanderson Avenue, Gertrude Street, Whipple Avenue, Edwards Lane and Creed Circle will all be resurfaced beginning this year.
