v Home and Garden Show, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.: Get ready for summer at this annual show sponsored by the Home Builders and Remodelers Association, at Mr. Anthony’s 7440 South Ave., Boardman. Admission is free. Go to myhbaworks.org.

v “An Evening of One Acts,” 7:30 p.m.: Two short plays by local playwrights Anita G. Gorman and Terry Shears in their premieres ($13, $10 for students and senior citizens) at the Hopewell Theatre, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; 330-746-5455.

v Andrew Sords violin concert, 4 p.m.: Expect excellence from this virtuoso player in a free performance at beautiful St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown; 330-743-3175.

v Valley Health and Wellness Expo, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Explore health and wellness services and products and talk to experts at this event (free admission) at Covelli Centre.

v The Infidels, 10 p.m.: Youngstown power-pop rockers in a rare show at Cedars West End, 706 Steel St., West Side. Opening will be the Nox Boys, from Pittsburgh.

“Planet Earth” (9 p.m., BBC America): It’s the season 1 finale of this show that features some of the most amazing nature cinematography you’ve ever seen.

“Saturday Night Live” (11:29 P.M., NBC): The host will be Charles Barkley, and hip-hop trio Migos will be the musical guest.

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV, and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): Carmella Williams, director of diversity and inclusion of the Youngstown Business Incubator, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to celebrate Women’s History Month.

Next, Phyllis Paul, dean of the College of Creative Arts and Communication at Youngstown State University, will discuss the Core Ensemble, which will give a theatrical performance titled “Ain’t I A Woman?” that spotlights iconic black women Sojourner Truth, Fannie Lou Hamer, Zora Neale Hurston and Clementine Hunter.

Finally Mercer County Builders Association members Dot Hillman and Brian Warner announce the 19th Lego Building Contest, a part of the Mercer County Home Show.

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WYTV-TV): Host Dee Crawford will talk with organizers of the annual Health and Wellness Expo at Covelli Centre, which involves the Valley’s two leading healthcare providers and the Regional Chamber.

‘The King and I’ at Springfield

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Springfield High School will present the Rodgers and Hammerstain musical “The King and I” tonight at 7 in the school auditorium, 11335 Youngstown Pittsburgh Road. Admission is $5 ($4 for senior citizens).

The production includes about 40 students, including students from second grade and a live orchestra.
