Christmas in July on scenic railroad

PENINSULA

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is presenting family-oriented Christmas in July train rides.

On the 90-minute trip, families can play summer bingo, limbo and the hula- hoop freeze dance. Children will have the opportunity to write Santa a letter.

“In years past, CVSR’s Christmas in July excursions have been 21 and older, but this year we wanted to include the whole family in the celebration. We encourage families to dress in their most festive luau attire with Christmas flare,” said spokesperson Kenzie Connor.

Christmas in July excursions run on July 21, 22, 28 and 29. The train departs at 3:40 p.m. from Peninsula Depot and will return at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and executive tickets are $35 per person. Each ticket includes a cookie and one nonalcoholic beverage.

A 5:40 p.m. cocktail and dinner train (age 14 and up) is also available ($45). Go to cvsr.com or call 800-468-4070.
