Campbell hires Jennings
Butch Jennings, the head coach at Valley Christian for the 2016 season, has been named head coach at Campbell Memorial High School. Jennings has coached for a combined 12 years at various levels. He was named a two-time Virginia Independent High School State Coach of the Year during the 2012 and 2013 seasons after winning two back-to-back state championships. “Coach Jennings brings with him a strong background of player development and engagement, with many of his former players transitioning to the collegiate level,” said Ron Aulet, Campbell Athletic Director.

Dom McGhee led Harding with 16 points and four assists. Tyre Marlowe added 15 points and nine rebounds and Trevell Trimble also had 15 points for the Raiders. Also in double figures for Harding was D’Muntize Owens with 13 points.

POLAND
Cyler Kane-Johnson scored 20 fourth quarter points and had 38 points overall, including seven 3-pointers for Niles, but it wasn’t enough as a balanced scoring attack led Poland to victory. Dan Kramer scored 20 and had 13 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs, while Brandon Barringer and Braeden O’Shaughnessy scored 12 points each. Michael Cougras added three 3-pointers for Poland.
Lakeview 73, Hubbard 43
CORTLAND
Hubbard couldn’t stop the Bulldogs’ offense. Lakeview shot 30-49 (61.2 percent) from the field and 11-18 behind the 3-point line. Daniel Evans scored game-high 17 points for Lakeview (11-3, 6-2). Nic Ferrara led Hubbard with nine points.

STRUTHERS
Carson Ryan led the Wildcats with 18 points. Isaiah Torreance added 14 and Struthers rolled past Jefferson. Brandon Washington and Ryan Leoard added eight points each for the Wildcats.

Drake Batcho scored 37 points to lead Champion. Joe Abramovich added 11 points and Chase Wheelock had 10 for the Flashes. Conner Stevens led Brookfield with 20 points.

Girard outlasted Newton Falls in a fourth quarter where the Indians outscored the Tigers 33-32. Girard used a balanced scoring attack led by Austin Claussell with 18 points. The Indians also received double digit scoring from David Blackmon (16 points), Anthony Backus (15), and Ferdinand Martinez (11). Newton Falls was led by Preston Rapczak who scored 33 points, including seven 3-pointers. Gage Friend added 12 for the Tigers.

MCDONALD
The McDonald duo of Zach Rasile (30 points) and Braedon Poole (26) combined for 56 points to lead the Blue Devils. Rasile made eight 3-pointers and Josh Celli added 14 points as the Blue Devils rolled over Jackson-Milton. Mason Robison led the Blue Jays with 13 points.
