TODAY

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., Canfield, will offer free Lenten breakfasts from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. today and each Wednesday through March 28. Different menu options will be offered every week, with pancakes, eggs, toast, french toast and sausage available weekly. Donations will be accepted. Take your Bible for a short study on the theme of “Focus.”

THURSDAY

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches also will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. Cost is $7. No need to preorder or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church, and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will host Friday pirogi sales. Call in orders to 330-755-1316 Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with pickup from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen.

St. Jude Women’s Guild, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, will offer drive-through dinners from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out) the first Thursday every month. The menu will include stuffed peppers, homemade mashed potatoes, homemade applesauce, roll and butter and dessert. Cost is $8, and all proceeds go to “Rebuilding Together in Faith, Hope & Love” campaign to renovate and expand the church.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a drive-through or dine-in stuffed cabbage roll dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. Menu includes cabbage roll, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread and brownie. Cost is $10.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will host a dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. The meals feature a choice of haddock, chicken or shrimp with fries, coleslaw and a roll for $10.50. Pirogi or an extra piece of fish are $4.50, and a child’s dinner is $5. Meals are carryout or eat-in. Beverages will be available. Call 330-654-5630.

Basilica & National Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Lebanon, 2759 N. Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will be serving Lenten fish dinners every Friday through March 23. Serving time will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children. Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, will offer beer-battered haddock fish or shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. until March 30. Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, will offer fish dinners from 4 to 8 p.m. Fridays during Lent. Menu includes baked or fried fish dinners and sandwiches, salad or coleslaw, vegetable, rolls and butter coffee or tea and one side. Sides available are haluski, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or baked potato. Cost is $12 for adults, and children 6 and under eat for free with purchase of an adult meal. Fish sandwiches are $5.75. Girard K of C Council 2935 will host Lenten fish dinners at the K. of C. Hall, 122 S. State St., Girard, from 4 to 7 p.m. until March 23. Proceeds will benefit K. of C. charities. Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, will host Lenten fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. every Friday through March 23 at the parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. Menu includes fried or baked haddock, fried shrimp, coleslaw or applesauce, bread and butter, choice of two sides, assorted desserts and beverages. There will be a complimentary pasta and pizza table with the purchase of adult eat-in dinners only. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children under age 12. Kent Elks Lodge 1377, 2265 Erie St., Ravenna, will host a Polish buffet every Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. until March 30. Knights of Columbus 3930 of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish will sponsor a sausage and pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. Menu includes sausage and a variety of all-you-can-eat pancakes and beverages. Cost for adults is $5 and $3 for children 12 and younger.

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 state Route 422, will host John’s breakfast brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Menu includes French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple or strawberry syrup, and scrambled eggs or eggs scrambled with peppers, onions and cheese; home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, fresh cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children.

St. Patrick Church, 1410 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor its monthly Sauce and Song event with a spaghetti dinner and concert. The dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the concert is set for 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Menu includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Culture Group of Youngstown Saxon Club is taking orders for sausage through March 14. Flavors are Saxon garlic (only available through the Culture Group), hot and mild.
