For those about to rock..., we invite you to try a burger at MOJOs, and we’ll salute you, too. A little tribute to AC/DC right there, and the eatery has a number of musical tributes showcasing the rock theme.

The music set the backdrop for the evening, from the photos placed on the walls, to the musical names featured in the menu.

Rock and roll, and burgers. We knew we were in a place we all could enjoy. A little Bob Dylan, Neil Young and some Doors was a sampling of the music featured during our meal.

We perused the menu, deciding which of the musical numbers sang to each of our likings.

Our waitress, Dawn Kish, suggested we try:

The Rajin’ Cajun burger (blackened burger topped with pepper jack cheese, pulled pork, onion rings and Cajun Alfredo sauce) - which is MOJOs featured burger this month. And, of course, Eric saw the spicy toppings and eagerly volunteered.

The menu offers 7 burgers, a build-your-own, and a monthly special.

Cheeseburger (classic burger lightly seasoned, grilled to perfection, and topped with your choice of cheese)

Dark Side of the Moon (classic burger topped with saut ed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese)

The Joker (classic burger topped with tasty applewood bacon and your choice of cheese)

The Morrison (classic burger topped with bacon, Jack Cheese, and our famous Mojo’s BBQ sauce)

James Brown -n- Blue (classic burger topped with bacon, grilled onions, and melted blue cheese)

Whole Lotta Love (classic burger topped with pulled pork, onion rings, and our famous Mojo’s BBQ sauce)

This is the End (Two of our classic burgers topped with four strips of bacon and your choice of two cheeses)

Stairway to Heaven (Two pounds of burger love stacked with eight strips of bacon, pulled pork, coleslaw, two onion rings, and your choice of any four cheeses) This is MOJOs challenge burger, and it sounds like a behemoth. This burger would have fed our entire BurgerGuyz squad, so we’ll leave this one to the challenge experts.

All burgers are served with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and an order of MOJO’s hand cut fries. You can substitute a house salad or any premium side for $1.50.

The music was calling me and said “Get the Morrison Burger,” and I did. The burger was rock and roll with each bite, cooked a perfect medium with a tasty pink center. The combination of bacon, Jack cheese and Mojo’s BBQ sauce blended well with the burger, adding a pop of all the combined flavors. None of the toppings overpowered the other, but each topping added it’s own zing, blending all the flavors, making this a great burger experience. The bun was nicely toasted and added a nice little crunch as I sank my teeth into this little slice of heaven. This burger definitely hit a high note for me.

JT remarked, “From the second you walk in the door, there’s no doubt that Rock and Roll is the theme at Mojo’s. And yes, the burgers do rock! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger that they named, The Joker, and it definitely spoke to the pompitous of love! And, it’s always great to sample some of the other menu items, so, manager Tammy didn’t have to twist any arms to take her up on her offer to try the wings. Jackpot! Crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, awesome house-made sauces... perfection. The Cajun Gold is a very unique flavor that I shall return for! Also, to transform this indulgence into a healthy meal, I opted for the house-made coleslaw over the fries, and it was also A1!”

Scott had the Whole Lotta Love Burger, and said, “This burger has a whole lotta flavor, combining the tenderness of the pulled pork with the juicy, charred beef. The flavors complemented each other very well with the MOJO’s BBQ sauce bringing together both meats. It was served on a toasted bun and topped with an onion ring, which added another dimension to an already flavorful burger.”

Eric said, “I opted to go with the featured burger, The Ragin’ Cajun. I didn’t even finish reading the description before my mouth began to water. From top to bottom, this burger was expertly crafted. I asked for the beef to be cooked medium, and was not surprised to see it come to the table exactly as I had asked. The combination of onion rings, pepper jack cheese, and pulled pork made my taste buds do cartwheels. But I’d be remiss to mention the Cajun Alfredo sauce that topped everything. This was a combination I never could’ve dreamed of, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Most surprising to me was how well the bun withstood everything on this burger. I would’ve expected a grilled bun to be required to keep from falling apart, but the burger gods were smiling on me this night as there was not a severe need of napkins during my meal.”

Chiz chose the This is the End Burger, and noted, “I was excited to arrive at “Mojo’s” and see in bold print “Legendary Burgers.” My goodness gracious, they could not be more spot on! It appears 2018 will be absolutely EPIC if the rest of the competition for B.O.T.Y. Award can even TOUCH what I just indulged in! This monstrosity is actually the 2nd largest burger on Mojo’s menu but it did not disappoint in what I consider the Gut Buster category. This skillfully crafted work of art for the ages is known as the “This is the End Burger.” Two quality 8 - 10 ounce exquisitely seasoned hand made burgers, 2 kinds of cheese (I went with pepper jack and mozzarella), four large strips of bacon all squeezed together by a perfect bun that could withstand conditions brought forth by hurricane Irma if needed. I immediately dug in and started smashing into my masterpiece as if it had looked at me funny. My first few bites were bliss... succulent, juicy, cooked a perfect medium. Most would expect that this much meat could be too strong, but in this rare scenario they would be dead wrong. I ate almost 1/3rd of it before I realized I had not dressed it with mayo! Yes, that GOOD! I dare you to say different.

If you want some rock and roll with your burger, MOJOs is your arena. You can’t go wrong with any of these burgers and ordering them will make you want to “Rock and Roll all night, and party every day.” And your taste buds will be more than a happy audience.
