Cirque du Soleil coming to Covelli

Cirque du Soleil will return to Covelli Center this summer with its new show, Crystal, for seven performances from June 27 to July 1.

Crystal, the first Cirque du Soleil show on ice, combines skating and acrobatic feats.

Synchronized skating, freestyle and extreme skating are featured alongside traditional circus disciplines such as swinging trapeze, aerial traps and hand to hand.

Tickets range from $31 to $112 and go on sale March 2 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and at the Covelli box office.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. June 27, 28, 29 and 30; with additional shows at 4 p.m. June 30 and 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. July 1.

Comedy show at Selah restaurant

The Comedians of Local Interest will present a night of comedy at 8 p.m. Thursday at Selah restaurant, 130 S. Bridge St.

The Comedians of Local Interest are a Youngstown-based group of standup comedians who schedule a show once a month at a different location. This month’s performers will be Carlos Rivera, Christopher Haddock, Becky Miller, Aaron Smith and Alex Kalafatis.

Admission for the show is $5 at the door plus a one-drink minimum. Guests must be at least 21 years old.

Price Is Right Live coming to Powers

YOUNGSTOWN

The Price Is Right Live will come to Powers Auditorium Friday for a 7:30 p.m. show.

It’s an interactive stage show that gives eligible individuals the chance to play classic games that are the same as the ones on the television game show of the same name.

Contestants can win cash, appliances, vacations and possibly even a new car by playing favorites like Plinko, Cliffhangers, The Big Wheel, and the Showcase.

Contestant registration will open at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Powers, 260 W. Federal St.

Tickets, which are necessary to enter the theater, start at $25 (additional fees may apply) and are available at youngstownsymphony.com, by phone at 330-744-0264, and at the DeYor Performing Arts Center box office at Powers.
