Rookie Miguel Andujar homered and doubled to extend his barrage of extra-base hits, Didi Gregorius had a grand slam and New York hammered Minnesota for the Yankees’ first three-game winning streak under new manager Aaron Boone. Slumping Giancarlo Stanton homered in going 4 for 4 and Gleyber Torres singled for his first major league hit. Minnesota center fielder Ryan LaMarre to pitched the eighth inning — Tyler Austin tagged him for a two-run homer. Andujar kept taking meaty cuts and delivered an extra-base hit in his seventh straight game — tied with Pittsburgh’s Corey Dickerson for the longest streak in the majors this year. Stanton hit a loud, long drive for his fifth homer, and Gary Sanchez boomed a two-run double. Brian Dozier singled home Minnesota’s run. He has a team-record 17-game hitting streak to begin a season, and a 24-game string dating to last year. Masahiro Tanaka (3-2) gave up three hits in 62/3 innings. Jake Odorizzi (1-2) was pulled after Stanton’s solo homer in the fifth.
White Sox 10, Mariners 4

Jose Abreu had four hits that included a pair of home runs, Yoan Moncada was a single shy of the cycle and Chicago beat Seattle to end a seven-game losing streak. Chicago became the first big league team to open a game with seven straight hits since Colorado against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers on Sept. 17, 2014, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Moncada’s leadoff triple was followed by five straight singles and Matt Davidson’s double off Mike Leake (2-2) in a five-run first inning. Abreu raised his home run total to six this season with his 12th multihomer game for the White Sox. Carson Fulmer (1-1) allowed two runs and three hits in a season-high six innings. The 24-year-old right-hander retired 12 straight before Mitch Haniger doubled in the fifth and Mike Zunino homered. Chris Beck, called up from Triple-A Charlotte before the game, finished for his first big league save. Leake allowed eight runs and 12 hits in 3 innings. Haniger homered for the fourth consecutive game for Seattle and has eight this season.
Athletics 9, Rangers 4
ARLINGTON, TEXAS
Marcus Semien hit a tiebreaking homer on the first pitch of the ninth inning and surging Oakland went on to its third straight victory, over Texas. The Athletics (12-11) have won seven of eight. Semien’s third homer of the season, off Kevin Jepsen (0-3), snapped a 3-all tie and ignited a six-run outburst. Matt Chapman had an RBI triple with two outs, then after a pitching change scored on a single by Mark Canha before Jake Smolinski hit a two-run triple. Ryan Buchter (1-0) retired the only two batters he faced — the last out of the eighth and the first out in the ninth. The Rangers tied the game in the fourth when Jurickson Profar drew a two-out walk from Trevor Cahill and Robinson Chirinos followed with his third homer of the season. Khris Davis had a two-run double in the third to put Oakland up 2-0, giving him 21 RBIs this season. Chad Pinder’s RBI single an inning later made it 3-1. Rookie second baseman Isiah Kiner-Falefa, the Rangers’ No. 9 hitter, doubled in the third for their first hit and scored on a wild pitch.

Reds 10, Braves 4
CINCINNATI
Jesse Winker’s bases-loaded single provided Cincinnati’s first lead in six games, and the Reds rallied for their first victory under interim manager Jim Riggleman, over Atlanta. The Reds are 4-18, the worst start in the majors since Baltimore opened with an identical mark in 2010. They fired manager Bryan Price on Thursday and got swept in a three-game series at St. Louis under Riggleman. Cincinnati sent 10 batters to the plate in the sixth inning for five runs. Sam Freeman (0-1) loaded the bases with no outs, and Winker’s single off Peter Moylan broke a 2-2 tie. Jose Peraza followed with another single, and Scooter Gennett’s two-run single completed the rally. Sal Romano (1-2) allowed four hits in six innings, including Nick Markakis’ homer. Markakis added a two-run single in the eighth, but Raisel Iglesias got the last four outs for his third save. Mike Foltynewicz allowed three hits in 42/3 innings, including Scott Schebler’s homer that tied it at 2 in the fifth. The two-run shot snapped Cincinnati’s streak of six games without a homer.
