The Canfield Historical Society will have its annual history walk, titled “Canfield History Walk: A Step Back in Time,” the last day of which is today.

The Historical Society, a non-profit, hopes to raise funds for its organization through this event while fostering a love of community and knowledge of our history.

Volunteer actors will portray different figures from Canfield’s history along the tour. Some of the depictions will include Rev. Joseph Badger, an prominent religious figure, Marion Fowler, the publisher of The Mahoning Dispatch, and Harry S. Manchester, a Civil War Veteran.

Attendees will walk throughout Canfield’s central green and move from reenactment to reenactment. This year’s events will show a bank robbery and the fatal shooting of Canfield Sheriff Cone.

They have three tours each day beginning at 4:30 p.m. with the last tour departing at 5:45 p.m. The history walk will occur no matter the weather.

The event will conclude with dinner at Piccadilly Parlour Victorian Tea Room. Ticket prices including dinner are $40 per couple or $25 individual. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Canfield Historical Society at 330-533-3458.
