NORTH LIMA
Nine men were arrested Thursday in a human-trafficking sting conducted by Beaver Township, according to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.
The arrests resulted from a joint investigation by the Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, Austintown police, Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Investigative Unit and Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Those arrested are: Sohail Awan, 31, Boardman; Jamie Webb, 32, Perry Township; Paul McHugh II, 32, Butler Township; Christopher Jones, 42, Berlin Township; Ryan Grossman, 42, Aliquippa, Pa.; Gary Harmon, New Castle, Pa., Michael Canaday, 53, East Palestine; Joseph Geraci, 61, Verona, Pa.; and Charles Hart, 63, Cochranton, Pa.
The Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force is filing the charges.
