Linkin Park to do tribute for Bennington
LOS ANGELES
Linkin Park will play a one-night-only concert in tribute to late lead singer Chester Bennington.
Warner Bros. Records says the show will take place at the Hollywood Bowl in LA on Oct. 27. It’s the first time that Linkin Park will perform since Bennington’s July 20 death.
Warner Bros. says individual band members intend to contribute their fees from the show to Music For Relief in memory of Bennington.
The band has also released its video for “One More Light,” the title track from its latest album. The video features Bennington singing and archive footage.
Hannity boycott call fizzling, at least publicly
NEW YORK
A liberal advocacy group’s call for advertisers to boycott Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News Channel last month isn’t generating much momentum.
Luxury carmaker Cadillac is the only new company to publicly back away from Hannity since the boycott by Media Matters for America was announced.
Media Matters says it’s playing the long game and that there is a lot more going on behind the scenes. Media Matters says Hannity has gone beyond hosting an opinion show to becoming an active campaigner for President Donald Trump.
Trump supporters say they have Hannity’s back, and they’ve gone after companies that have wavered on Hannity.
