Niles SCOPE Senior Center, 14 East State St., is taking reservations now for a trip set for 9 a.m. Dec. 1. The bus will depart for the Ohio Playhouse Theater for “A Christmas Carol.” Lunch at Massimo da Milano, returning at approximately 5 p.m.

PERI, Mahoning County 18 will meet at noon Oct. 3 at the Avion Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Boardman. Flu shots to be given by Debbie Moss, a nurse from Mahoning County Board of Health beginning at 10:30 a.m. Bring insurance cards. Guest speaker will be a representative from Shepherd of the Valley health care facility. Lunch includes pot roast with vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, salad, bread and butter, coffee, tea, soft drinks and pumpkin pie. There will be a money raffle. Cost is $13 for members, associate members and guests, payable at the door. Retired RN Interest Group will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road. Program will be presented by a speaker from the Neil Kennedy Center to discuss the opioid epidemic in the area. For information, call Lee Kovolan at 330-792-5053 or Sandie Reel at 330-533-7712. The program is open to all retired nurses in the area.

TMH Retirees Club will have a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 9 at the Buena Vista Cafe in Warren. The program will be a presentation regarding the local opioid crisis.
