Chamber schedules annual Canfield event
CANFIELD
The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a “Good Morning, Canfield” event from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Oct. 6 at The Bistro, Mahoning County Career & Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.
This annual fall Canfield program starts with an update from the host, MCCTC/Mahoning County Educational Service Center Superintendent Ron Iarussi, followed by presentations from MCCTC students who will demonstrate 3-D printing capabilities and drone-video production.
David Dickey, Canfield Fair board vice president, also will give an update on the construction of a new, year-round, multipurpose exposition facility on the fairgrounds, as well as additional buildings and barns to be built on the grounds.
The cost is $20 for members; $30 for nonmembers.

Business showcase
COLUMBIANA
The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce invites residents and business owners to attend a business showcase on Thursday at Detwiler Farm, 4520 Renkenberger Road.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments, networking and brief presentations by Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce members, New Castle School of Trades and Comcast Spotlight representatives.

Pa. casino revenue up
HARRISBURG, PA.
A revenue increase for table games of nearly 11 percent during August was the driver of an increase for combined overall casino revenue during the month of 2.5 percent, according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
The report shows August 2017 table games revenue of $74.2 million was an increase of 10.92 percent over August of last year when revenue was $66.9 million.
