v Arts on the Riverwalk, 3 to 9 p.m.: Live music, arts, children’s activities, lectures and more are the hallmarks of this festival at the Riverwalk amphitheater and surrounding area in downtown New Castle, Pa.; hoytartcenter.org.

“Surviving Harvey: ANIMALS AFTER THE STORM” (8 P.M., ANIMAL PLANET): As we await the blow that Hurricane Irma will deliver, it’s important to know that destruction from the massive storms also affect animals. In this new one-hour special, Animal Planet shows the rescue of animals after Hurricane Harvey hit Texas last month.

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV, and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): The Down Syndrome Association of the Valley’s annual Buddy Walk is marking its 10th anniversary this year. Michele Jones from the DSAV will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the walk, its accomplishments over the past 10 years and the opportunities to participate.
Next, Jennifer Varley Gray of Compass Family Services and Sojourner House will discuss “The Vagina Monologues,” the Peace Chair exhibition and the Chocolate, Wine, Dine & Groove fundraisers.
Finally, educator Penny Wells and Sojourn to the Past student Kiara Walker will discuss nonviolence- week activities and the annual nonviolence parade on Oct. 1 in downtown Youngstown.
“A Conversation With Dee” (Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WYTV-TV): Host Dee Crawford talks with representatives from the Eastern Ohio Education Partnership about their efforts to get Valley students the resources they need to succeed in school.

Art exhibit at YSU
YOUNGSTOWN
“FACE,” a digital-media exhibition by Eunsu Kang, will open Monday at Solomon Gallery in Bliss Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University and run through Sept. 29. Kang will lecture at 4 p.m. Sept. 21 at the gallery. Admission is free.
“FACE” invites the audience to meet faces that are familiar, yet have never existed, created by Korean-born Kang.
