Three Boarmdan video production students worked together to shoot and edit a 15 second trailer that will run for the next month before movie showings at Tinseltown Movie Theater in Boardman.
The students, Sam Holter, Ethan Ngo and Matthew Welton, all have aspirations for promising careers in film and technology.
Boardman Schools Television Network students are used to getting hands on experience. Many of them shoot football games at Spartan Stadium as fans watch simultaneously on the video scoreboard. Students also record, edit and often even anchor community broadcasts on cable channel 204, and through BSTN’s YouTube channel. This 15 second musical spot, however, is the first time their work will actually be on the big screen.
The group admits that it’s an added bonus when there’s a connection and excitement about the client. Boardman’s Drama Club is presenting “The Wedding Singer,” a musical comedy, on Nov. 16-18 at Boardman’s Performing Arts Center.
