The signup period to help families in need who have registered at Emmanuel Community Care Center, 2 N. State St., ends Friday. Families can call the center at 330-545-4301 to register children up to age 12. Those interested in adopting a child also can call the center for information. Anyone planning on donating gifts should drop them off by Dec. 7 . Gifts will be distributed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 12.
