Domestic dispute

YOUNGSTOWN

A city woman was taken to Mahoning County jail after her live-in boyfriend told police he had to nearly pry her jaw off his pants during a fight.

According to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, officers were called to investigate a domestic dispute at an East Side home on the 1400 block of Woodcrest Avenue on Thursday night.

The man who lives there told them he had been assaulted by Marilynn Tubbs, who had been living with him for two months.

He says Tubbs tried to hit him, so he held her arms. It was then, he told police, the woman attempted to bite him in the area of his crotch. That’s when the boyfriend said he had to nearly pry her jaw away.

Tubbs was booked into the jail on a charge of domestic violence but was later released.

Power restored

Power was restored Friday afternoon to thousands in northern Trumbull County after being out for the second time this week.

Power was restored just before 3 p.m. after being out for nearly two hours, according to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

On Wednesday, power was out to more than 4,000 customers in the same area of the county until just before midnight. That outage was attributed to an equipment outage at a substation.

An Ohio Edison representative told 21 WFMJ-TV that Friday’s outage was caused by a similar equipment problem but couldn’t say if it was the same piece of equipment from the earlier outage.
