Staff report

The Ohio Department of Transportation issued traffic advisories for various roadways in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

In Mahoning County, there are lane restrictions through next Friday for pavement repairs to U.S. Route 62 from the Columbiana County line to state Route 165, U.S. Route 62 between state Route 46 and Meridian Road, and Interstate 680 between South Avenue and Midlothian Boulevard.

There also are lane restrictions until further notice on state Route 165 from the northern Beloit corporation limit to state Route 14, and on state Route 534 from the Columbiana County line to just north of New Middletown Road. The work is part of an $800,000 project to seal various routes in Mahoning and Portage counties scheduled to be finished by late July.

In Trumbull County, there are two projects in Liberty.

Pleasant Valley Road between Anderson Morris Road and Smith–Stewart Road is closed through late July for a bridge replacement. The detour is Tibbetts Wick Road to state Route 193 to Smith-Stewart Road. This work is part of a $1.6 million project to replace the Niles- Vienna Road bridge, the Risher Road bridge and the Pleasant Valley Road bridge.

Liberty Street between Motor Inn Drive and Belmont Avenue is restricted to one lane for bridge construction through late August. Traffic is maintained by a traffic signal. This work is part of a $91.5 million project to widen I-80 between state Route 11 and Route 193. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2018.
