The Cafaro Foundation has awarded $55,000 in scholarships to 22 students from Trumbull and Mahoning counties. The winners were chosen based on the students’ academic merit, while considering the recommendations of teachers and guidance counselors.
The William M. and Alyce Cafaro Scholarship was awarded to Dakota Naples.
The winners of the John A. Cafaro scholarships are: Jowad Atway, Rayann Atway, Ashlyn Cleevely, Alex Frease, Colt Jamieson, Noah Kenneally, Anthony Laird, Nathan Levantis, Julia Lombardi, Elizabeth McCue, Kara Potkonicky, Gregory Prytstash, Joseph Sidoti, Reanna Torres and Michael Yourstowsky.
The Donald P. Pipino Memorial Scholarships winners are: Joshua Schlueter, Olivia Swarthout, David Hernandez, Alyssa Romito, Bridget Walsh and Tyler Calpin.
The foundation has recently relocated to the Eastwood Mall Complex in Niles.
