Warren school-threat charge bound over to grand jury

WARREN
A felony inducing panic charge has been forwarded to the Trumbull County grand jury after Alan M. Jordan, 33, of Laird Avenue Southeast, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Friday.
The hearing was before Judge Thomas Gysegem of Warren Municipal Court.
Jordan is accused of posting a Facebook message Feb. 1 threatening a Sandy-Hook-style massacre at the city school his daughter attends.
The post said Jordan was upset about how other children were treating his child, and he wanted other parents to know about it.
Jordan has been free on bond since just after his last hearing Feb. 16.
As conditions of his bond, he is on GPS-monitored house arrest and ordered not to go within a quarter mile of any city school building and is ordered to remain on medications prescribed by a state psychiatric hospital.
In court Friday, Gil Blair, a Warren prosecutor, said there had been “no issues” with Jordan complying with the conditions of his bond.
