The Dress to Succeed ministry, at St. John Episcopal Church on Wick Avenue in Youngstown, will cut the ribbon at 11 a.m. Tuesday to reveal its latest expansion at the showroom at Trumbull Correctional Institution, 5701 Burnett Road, Leavittsburg.
The ministry is dedicated to providing donated clothes, shoes and other accessories to help people returning to society from prison, said Elder Rose Carter, founder and director of the ministry.
Carter; Lola Simmons, executive director of the Home for Good Reentry Resource Referral Center, and Warden Charmaine Bracy will cut the ribbon.
Since the ministry’s relocation in August to St. John Episcopal Church, it has dressed 400 people, including 150 men since its expansion at the Ohio State Penitentiary in October and more than 50 men and women at Community Corrections Association.
