UPDATE | Mahoning County coroner identifies woman killed on West Side

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman found shot to death about 12:30 p.m. today in an SUV on Oneta Street as Rae’venna Faircloth-Thomas, 24, of Youngstown.

A news release from the coroner’s office said she was shot multiple times, and the office ruled her death a homicide, the city's ninth this year.

The police department and the coroner’s office are investigating.

Faircloth-Thomas was wearing a Hines Ward jersey when she was pulled out of the driver's side of the SUV in the first block Oneta.

Officers were called after reports of shots fired from another vehicle at the SUV.
