YSU police officer to appear in court Friday on OVI charge

YOUNGSTOWN — A Youngstown State University police officer will face a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired Friday.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested Joseph Schialdone, 36, of Boardman, after Schialdone committed a signaling violation while switching lanes June 2.

Schialdone will be arraigned at 9 a.m. Friday in Mahoning County Area Court in Canfield.
