Homer Sturgeon, 70, aced the 140-yard No. 2 at Pleasant View in Paris. He used an 8-iron. Witnesses were Sam Day, Mike Palmer and Mike Gruzecki. It’s his fourth ace.
Jim Zarlenga aced the 126-yard No. 18 at Knoll Run. He used a 9-iron. Witnesses were Dave Glass, Cosmo Pecchia and Stan Czeck.
Douglas Hogan aced the 182-yard No. 4 at Reserve Run Golf Course in Poland. He used a 5-iron. Witnesses were Dave Pannunzio and Doug Duganne.
John DePasquale of Niles aced the 160-yard No. 6 at Mahoning Country Club on June 15. He used a 7-iron. Witnesses were Jim Williams, John Salerno and Tony Nicastro.
Frank Bellino of Columbiana aced the 160-yard No. 15 at The Links at Firestone Farms on June 15. He used a 5-iron. It was his seventh hole-in-one and second on No. 15. Witnesses were Lou Blazquez, Ron Book and Dave Munoz.
Vincent Carnevale Jr. of Canfield aced the 165-yard No. 18 at Avalon Buhl on June 14. He used a 7-iron. Witnesses were members of the BGMS Golf League including Brad Vaughn, Tony Alvino, Andy Wade, Ron Grope, Jim Stitt and Dave Brenner.
