CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1963 will meet at noon Wednesday at Station Square Restaurant, 4250 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. Guests are welcome. For directions, call 330-759-8802.

The Rayen School Class of 1959 will meet for its monthly luncheon at noon Wednesday at Cassese’s MVR, 410 N. Walnut St., Youngstown. All classmates, spouses and guests are welcome. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month.

South High School Class of 1953 will have a monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Johnny’s in Boardman. Plans are being made for a July 18 picnic. All classmates and guests are welcome. No reservations are needed. Those interested in attending may call Ray Melewski at 330-792-2434.

GROUPS

That Quilt Group I Belong To will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday for a potluck dinner and installation of officers. Karen Miles and Pat Williams will share the offices of president and vice-president; Debbie Schubert is the newly elected secretary, and Mary Rose Nordquist is treasurer. The UFO Challenge and Quilt Challenge will end, and winners will be announced. There will be show-and-tell, so bring items to show. Membership dues are payable beginning this month. Guests are welcome, and members are asked to take a dish to share. Drinks and dessert will be provided. TQGIBT meets at Fair Park in Canfield the third Tuesday of each month, with some exceptions. SOCIETIES

William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kravitz’s Deli Meeting Room, 3135 Belmont Ave., Liberty. Tom Welsh, public historian and local author, will give a presentation on his new book, “The History of Jewish Youngstown and the Steel Valley.” Cost is $5, and there will be a 50-50 raffle and free refreshments.
