The Canfield Soccer Club kicked off and celebrated the start of its recreational season at its annual Players Clinic on June 16.

The clinic took place at the Herbert Road Fields under the direction of Phil Simone, Canfield High School boys and girls soccer coach, and members of the Canfield High School boys and girls soccer teams.

Stations were set up throughout the fields for the players of all ages who spent time learning foot skills, practicing drills and playing games under the guidance of the high school players.

Players were encouraged to wear their recreational uniforms to the clinic, which is included in the registration for the recreational season.

At the end of the clinic, Simone gathered the players.

“I hope everyone had fun here today. Thank you for coming. The players and I would like to invite you to a couple high school games this fall so you can see them play,” Simone said.
