Two fires call crews to vacant Ravenwood Avenue house

City fire crews were called twice early today for small fires at a vacant 374 E. Ravenwood Ave. home.

About 1:45 a.m., firefighters found a small fire on the front porch and quickly put it out. Reports said there was a strong odor of gasoline on the porch. Damage was listed at $100.

About 5 a.m. firefighters were called back for a fire at the front door of the home. That blaze was quickly put out as well. Damage in that blaze was listed at $1,000.

There were no injuries in either fire.
